Default How big of a nitrous shot can the stock fuel system support?

I'm at 200,000 miles on my 2010 Z. Once the engine goes I'd like to install a stock rebuilt one and add nitrous. I need something that can pass smog ecu check (visual will pass ok) which is why I'm going with NOS. I could go stillen but I think its crap quality wise and this route is cheaper. I'm thinking a 150 shot should be ok based on the 350Z forums.

I have test pipes, full exhaust, hps tubes, and k&n panel filters. I would need colder spark plugs. Would I need a different intake for NOS or would this be ok?

Check out the new CARB approved twin turbo kit for the vq37 - no worry about getting smog ref, easy pass every time you go in for a smog check.

I ran a 100 shot on E85 with the stock pump.

When the nitrous system comes on, there was a big drop in fuel pressure that would lean the AF ratio for about .5 seconds - until the pump could recover. This is not a good thing.

On gas it would be easier, but the stock tank regulated pump system just doesnt work well for power adders.

So I got nervous about it and installed the Deutchworks pump and had the tune adjusted.

A 75 shot worked really well with the stock pump. Car hauled *** too. Ran several 11.90s and 11.80s.

You must be blind. "ByThaBay" is selling the kit.

Time to revive this old thread.... Enthusiast Auto Care in collaboration with BTW tuning are proud to bring you the first 50 state C.A.R.B. approved twin turbo kit for the vq37vhr platform. All Nissan/Infiniti models will be covered. Testing has already completed and the kit has passed all the tests.

We are gearing up to meet major demand for this kit and are not taking pre-orders yet. The CARB EO# has not been assigned yet. We expect the EO# to be assigned within a few months, then we will begin taking orders.

Here are some details about the kit:

*Ecutek tuned
*GTR Turbos
*GTR Injectors
*Proprietary emissions control strategy for clean emissions (PATENT PENDING)
*8psi boost achieved relatively early on (approximately 2.5k rpm)
*Includes launch control, flat foot shifting, and other advanced ecutek features.
** 100% street legal !

If the kit is configured for a track/tuner configuration it is capable of producing well over 600whp on e85.
