Default What’s up with my charging system?

So about a month ago I posted that I drove my car hard through some mountain curves then took a break and when I turned my car on my battery wasn’t charging. The alternator, battery, fuses, and belt were all good and working. I ended up resolving the issue simply by unplugging the ecu and plugging it back in. Now I went to the same curves today and took a break, turned my car on and lo and behold the same issue arose. So what could be causing this? My best bet is the ecu. What do you guys think?

Also I drove the car pretty hard last week along the coast for like 2 hours and nothing happened. And I just finished unplugging the ecu again and voila, the battery is charging again.

Have you tested the alternator and the battery with proper testing equipment?

Yes I have. Plus I bought them new the first time my car messed up because I thought that was the problem as well but it wasn’t because they still weren’t charging.

Sounds like a loose connection somewhere.

The ecu connections are secure, battery and alternator grounds are fine, alternator connection is fine. Are there any other connections I should check?

Perhaps next step is also look for corrosion inside those connections. They may be tight, but corrosion can play havoc on Troubleshooting.

Also look for wire chafing. That should pop fuse's but you never know.
