Default Continuous crank, no start problems..

Hello everyone,

Looking for some input from anyone who may have encountered a similar issue. I will quickly break down some background info on my car:

2014 Nismo 6MT, was twin turbo, blew the motor, found a used long block from a 2011 Z.

After installing the new motor, the only way I can get the car to start is with the crank sensor unplugged and then the car is in limp mode.

**Important notes/things I have already checked and tried**

-The car is not throwing any codes
-I have verified the flywheel is indeed positioned/timed correctly
-The flywheel timing ring teeth are not damaged or missing
-I have replaced the crank and cam sensors
-I have replaced the MAP sensor (running 4bar for boost)
-I have replaced both MAF sensors
-Timing chains etc in front cover have been set correctly
-When the crank sensor is unplugged and the car starts in limp mode, it appears to run fairly smooth, no crazy misfires. Again, no codes, besides the crank sensor being unplugged.

Last note, the used motor did have a broken connector on the driver side bank VVEL black motor (w/ 4 allen screws) so I replaced the VVEL black motor from my old engine.

I am beginning to think this problem is in relation to either replacing that VVEL or needing to replace the wiring harness.

Any input would be much appreciated.

You have to setup the VVEL motors properly. If you did not follow the proper steps that could be your problem. Not sure what you changed or how you did it.

Pulled timing cover to reveal cam sprocket was literally loose and clearly shifted out of position. Replaced cam sprocket, car starts. However, new problems, P0300 and P0021. Made a new thread to try and find some help for these codes
