Default Clutch noise when in neutral

So just recently my clutch started making noise when the car is still and in neutral. Once I press the clutch pedal the noise goes away and when I’m driving and shifting gears there’s no problem or any sort of noise. Does anyone know how to fix this, I’ve been reading around and everyone says it’s a different type of bearing but I want to know for sure

I could hear it in the video but not sure if it's a throwout bearing issue. Definitely clutch related.

I could barely hear it in your vid though. Without diagnosing this in person your Z has the tell tail signs of a failed throwout bearing. What clutch/flywheel do you currently have? How many miles do you have on your clutch? I seen this same issue on a 350Z recently with throwout bearing failure and the clutch disc was severely worn clutch/flywheel replacement was necessary. If you are still using Genuine Nissan CSC install the Z Speed Performance CMAK before it’s too late and you get stranded in the middle of no where just like I did. Check out Z Speed Performance clutch/flywheel set up’s if you have to replace or you can ask Joe he is always willing to help out the Z community.

I feel like my Z has always made different noises in N with the clutch pedal in vs out. I got over 100K miles on the stock clutch and it still had a good bit of life left upon removal. With my new ZSpeed setup the noise is still the same but the difference is even more pronounced. Likely due to the lightweight flywheel and solid trans mount cause racecar

Pretty sure mine makes the same sound and it has since it was brand new. The entire idle sound changes clutch in vs clutch out. Hard to tell from the video though. Might be easier if you had the camera recording under the car

Welcome new Z owner. Yeah, I agree with a few others, that's just one of the little noises that our beloved Z's make. There's a few of them

The Z makes noises. The manual trans with the flywheel and clutch are very, how do I saw, organic and raw. Unless it's grinding gears, keep enjoying it.
