Quaife diff install issue

Hey all, got a Quaife diff (QDF11L) installed on a '16 base 6mt. Only thing left are the stub shafts. The shafts will not seat all the way in on

Only thing left are the stub shafts. The shafts will not seat all the way in on each side. Seems to be about 1/8th-1/16th or so left to go. As far as I know, this model Quaife is supposed to accept these shafts without any modifications. Any idea what's going on here? Searching this issue hasn't come up with any specific answers.
