7AT flush price ?

I know there are other threads on this but I didn’t see any regarding the price. I’m at 63k miles currently. I know some people go without changing the fluid until much later. Normally I would too but I’ve been having some harder downshifts and sometimes seems to hang in a gear too long. I know the 60k service suggests doing the transmission flush so I called my local dealer and they said it would be $800 to do it. That seems absolutely insane. I’ve seen several people say it cost anywhere from $180-250. I didn’t really want to go to another shop for them to do it since the car has to be cold. I just don’t know any local shops to trust with it. Is there a service receipt anyone has from another dealer I can show them to compare?

That’s way too much; as I did my own & so has a few of my friends.
The genuine Nissan fluid is around 10-12$ per quart & you’ll need 12-15qts. to do it well.
Shouldn’t be over 300 maximum, even with oem fluid
As I know dealerships are charging over $100 per hr now easy.

I used this in mine & worked perfectly
Around 20$ a jug from walmart & meets the proper fluid spec.

I always change my own automatic transmission fluid earlier than the recommended major service at 60K more like every 2-3 years or 30K miles whatever comes first and I never had a transmission failure yet! What place is actually trying to charge you that much to change your transmission fluid? That is way too much and they are trying to be dishonest and rip you off! Choice a different place to bring your Z for your general maintenance please. The most I seen people charging is $200-$300 at the most it’s not that hard to do yourself. An option is you could even take your Z to an Infiniti dealership service department and have the same work done that you could have done at Nissan? Also bring your Z to a reputable place you trust. Purchasing your own automatic transmission fluid and bringing your Z to a transmission or driveline shop to have the labor done is another option. I have been using Amsoil automatic transmission fluid for all my automatic transmission fluid flushes and it works very well. If you can’t do it yourself there has to be some place in TN you can bring your Z to? Changing your transmission fluid will help improve and “smooth” out your shifts.

You guys just typically get 4 of the gallon jugs? Will that do?

I called another Nissan dealer that’s further away and they told me $465.

Probably just going to be doing this myself now after your suggestions. I’ll just read up on here how to.

Correct & a good pump-up chemical sprayer from walmart or Lowe’s/Home Depot.
A 5mm Allen wrench & 19mm wrench/socket , possibly an infrared heat gun.

Don't buy aftermarket fluid, your car is still very new. Stick to the Nissan fluid. Change the fluid now, then down the road about another 10-15k miles change it again. Do it yourself and save money its a very easy job.

oem atf is wildly overpriced and not necessary. The Valvoline max life JC suggested is perfectly fine and only $18 a gallon. Matic-S runs $9-13 a quart

2-3x the cost for what is probably the same juice is not worth it

Kirk, if I remember correctly, you're in the Memphis area. If so, call Jim Keras Nissan, speak with Thomas Yadron (service advisor), and let him know Thomas H. with the black Z referred you. Their GT-R tech has been changing my trans fluid for years and, while the price has increased a little, I think the last time I went a few months ago, it was $250 plus tax.
