Default Galley Gasket

Hello Everyone.

I’ve been hearing about the Galley Gasket failing in our cars due to the paper quality gasket. I also heard this problem was fixed on the later models with an upgraded metal galley gasket. With the research I’ve done, I keep getting different answer on what model year it was changed. Some say 2012 and up and others said it didn’t change until the 2014 370z. So what year exactly was the upgraded done to the galley gasket?

I have a 2013 370z roadster.

I'm also interested.

Someone had said 2013+ were updated with metal gasket, but one forum member verified 2013 Nismo still had paper gasket after opening up the timing chain cover. I saw a post that 2014+ were updated with metal gaskets. conflicting information.

I have a 2014 Nismo and my gaskets were definitely not metal. Enjoy pulling the front of your car off and make room in the budget for all the fun upgrades you'll want to do "while you're in there!"
