Camshaft position sensor bad?
My car would not start. I was able to jump start it but the Service Engine Soon light and traction control light were on......The car would buckle at 3500 RPM in every gear. I went to AutoZone and got the codes . P0340, P0345 (Camshaft bank 1 and 2)....also got P0335 ( crankshaft position sensor A circuit).........Would bad camshaft sensors cause the crankshaft error possibly? I have had the crankshaft position sensor go bad and the car quit running while driving and would not start back... so thinking it is the camshaft ones that are bad?
The camshaft ones are easy to replace so I am going to replace them myself and hope it fixes the issue. Last edited by MSC43; 08-22-2020 at 05:02 PM. |

Do you have ecutek? You can check the camshaft position sensor voltage and compare it with FSM

I got it fixed. The cam shaft position sensors replaced corrected one of the problems.... But apparently the battery had low voltage even though I just bought it in 2018.....I had to pay a small fee as it was under warranty. ....Guess the battery is covered in full for 1st year and then pro rated every year after.

A race mechanic i know mentioned trying the camshaft sensors first. That's what I plan to do this winter, but won't be able to get the car on track until the season starts next year. . Has anyone else found a definite solution??
