Car Dies
So I currently own a 2014 nissan 370z, automatic, touring sport, the car starting experiencing issue coming to stop signs and red lights, the car got jerky and sometimes would stall at red lights, took it to nissan they told me it was the valve body, had that replaced at nissans good deed, while changing it out the nissan mechanic started telling me my transmission was filled with cvt fluid, even though the car has never went in for any transmission work, the car has full history at only nissan dealerships, The mechanic said he knew it was wrong fluid based off of smell and color.
I took the car back because they were trying to charge me 5k for a whole new transmission basically. 2 days in and not even 70 miles, the car just goes into limp mode at a redlight, i get it home, turn it off, and back on and it was reving fine. Next morning the car does not even start, nothing, had the car towed to nissan and they are telling me my timing chain jumped somehow, the car is at 47k miles, and now they are trying to charge me 5k for timing chain change or 12k if other parts are damaged. The mechanic said they unplugged the crankshaft sensor and the car turned on but ran like it was misfiring. Any suggestions, ideas or anything on what the issue might be if it's not the chain, i decided to take the car back after telling them that i could buy another engine with 47k miles with the ecu for 1k instead of paying 5k for the part that is "broken". |

Have you considered taking it to a reputable mechanic who doesn't work for Nissan?

the car is currently at a shop with a reputable mechanic, his schedule is busy at the moment, but he said 3 fault codes popped up while he was trying to start the car, these were, P0340: CMP Sen B1, P0345: CMP Sens B2, and P0335: CKP Sens. Even though the mechanic at nissan said that no faults were coming up

I just remembered, they said the car is not starting to the fact that there is no spark that is being produced, while the car was at nissan they said they unplugged the crank sensor and the car started, just ran like it was misfiring, their findings state on paper that the chain jumped 1 tooth and the information they are seeing says that the car timing is at -12 degrees. As of currently the other mechanic is taking a look and trying to see what is wrong.

Might be a broken flex plate or crank sensor. The car needs to see crank angle to diagnose cam angle so start with the crank sensor. The crank signal is off teeth on the flex plate so even if the chain jumps it won't effect the crank signal. You need to fix this first.
