Z1 Coolant bleeder port

Have any of you guys replaced the plastic union on the heater hoses with this? Seems like a good upgrade to help bleed the coolant system for those of us

Default Z1 Coolant bleeder port

Have any of you guys replaced the plastic union on the heater hoses with this? Seems like a good upgrade to help bleed the coolant system for those of us that don’t have an airlift.

Did you just replaces the plastic union on the passenger side? Also did you need to cut the hoses to make it fit?

You just replace the plastic union, no cutting required.

Does it work well as a bleeder? Doesn't seem to be the highest point in the system which is the cap and Nissan's procedure for burping.

Haven't used it to bleed the system yet but I'll let you know when I do.

I bought it just in case I was having trouble bleeding the system. I flushed the system today and didnt need to open it, there is peace of mind having a metal union though since my heater hose cracked at the plastic part it replaced.
