K&N Air Filters

Has anyone noticed any difference using the K&N air filters? Are there better filters to use? I do not what to put on CAI's!

I have the K&N panel filters and I didn’t notice any difference in power or sound. I did it more for convenience. If I had to do it again, I would probably stick to regular paper filters.

I did the same. I agree with that. I may have heard a little more sound under acceleration. It is hard to tell. I didn't notice any difference in power.

R2C dry filter intakes are better than K&N and require less maintenance

Does R2C make a drop in filter for the 370? I don't want a CAI filter.

R2C PF10544 Black Hex drop in air filter

I got mine from the tunerz_store vendor on here. Let me know if you have trouble sourcing them. They're unused and I might be willing to part with them

Why didn't you use them and how much for them shipped to Vermont?

I'm a parts hoarder. I was running the R2C CAI for years and bought the drop-in filters in case I decided to go back to stock intakes to keep engine temps down (metal tubes heatsoak like a mofo in the Z engine bay). Now I've got the Takeda Stage 2 Attack intake for my Z.

I notice they always oil up the MAF wire right out of the box. Dry's only!!!

I replaced the oem intake tubes for silicone equivalent and the oem filters for the K&N slide ins and did notice a difference in throttle response and gained a bit of top end power. Very good bang for the buck & easy to install mod. No tune required and easy to maintain.

Why would silicone tubes make a difference? which ones did you get?

The stock intake tubes are ribbed and create turbulence. Smooth tubes offer better airflow. There are a variety of options out there.

I got the Mishimoto one. Don't buy Z1 they are overpriced and are the exact same design. I'm sure you can find the K&N filters and the Mishimoto silicone tubes on Amazon and have them shipped together at an inexpensive rate.
