Got P2098 Bank 2 Lean
Test pipes installed that have J bends with Z1 Oxygen (O2) Sensor Extension Bungs and they threw up only that code.
Only have Stillen CAI long tube. Was hoping the J bend and O2 extensions would keep the pesky CEL away until I can get a tune. Any ideas besides removing the CEL via OBDII or is tune the only option at this point? Also, is Bank 2 the driver side? Last edited by 370zBoyz; 11-29-2019 at 11:15 PM. |

What year is your car? Nissan tightened up O2 parameters in 2013?? I think. I had an 09 with ART pipes for 3 years and never saw a CEL. Bought a 14 and put the exact same setup on it and it throws a CEL for both banks every time I clear it. So you may just have to live with it until you get a tune.

Cleared the codes but now got a new code, P1059 on Bank 2 and the other code disappeared. Everything seems to be appearing on Bank 2. I might have to lift up the front end and remove the O2 sensors and have a look at them. Last edited by 370zBoyz; 12-03-2019 at 07:37 AM. |

No mention of Bank 1 at all in my OBDII tool. Where is bank 2 located exactly, driver side? Last edited by 370zBoyz; 12-03-2019 at 12:04 PM. |

The FSM has orientation info and lots of trouble-shooting tips. IIRC, Bank 2 is on the left side* of the car, but I wouldn't swear to it.
*as you are sitting in the driver's seat
