RJM Closed Deck Block
Good evening,
I just recently won a raffle that resulted in me being the new proud owner of an RJM closed deck block. Searching google has been pretty fruitless for my question. The question is: how much would it typically cost for a mechanic to take apart the engine and rebuild it with the new block? Google only refers to the repairing a cracked block so I don't if the price listed there would even be close to the same. Hoping you guys can provide me with some possible numbers.

What HP are you trying to build for? Ball park figure if you are building for boost, 16k to 20k for everything.

Currently everything on the engine itself is stock. I do plan to buy bolt ons and internals in the future, with a possible twin turbo kit somewhere down the long road. I'd like to try and push for 400-450 before I have to really start shelling out the big bucks on mods. So I guess, if it was taken apart and rebuilt right now with stock. Or would it not even be worth it to do it now, and wait until it's needed (when the power would typically overwhelm the stock block)

Ya I agree wait for boost don't waste your time or money on it now. Also just keep in mind even built motors pop.
