Thanks,
I've used that location for the fill but could never found a dipstick that I could trust to install. I think I'll give it a try. Here is a link to the parts. https://parts.infinitiusa.com/nissan...7039&siteid=15

Foremost, perfect for simple check of fluid condition rather than the dump and refill (wasting fluid) I just had to do at 10k miles after my first self flush and refill at 77k. I didn't replace the filter the first time around and the fluid (10k check) still looked new at 87k miles.
Of course much a much simpler fill and level check process as well! Thanks a ton for re-posting on this forum! Found one on Ebay for $22 shipped as the seller thought it was the oil dipstick tube lol.

Mission accomplished
Ebayed a 2007 350z dipstick & tube. Lessons learned: You really have to want to do this if you do this. It is not a 1 hr deal. My experience was having to cut tabs fit, roll out, cut more tabs, roll out disconnected a wire harness mount test fit again. Custom bend tube. Test fit Re-bend tube test fit & Voila. YMMV This is also not a quick access check, unless you have little girl hands (I do not) so I used a pair of pliers to pull dipstick out & tap closed. It beats doing it from under the car. Be sure to re-score the dipstick to the new check level. Here you go guys:

Great Job,
I knew this was the place on trans for it...I just really got good at checking from underneath & filling there as well. Gonna make your drain/fills much easier

My only question is with your fill level post driving. According to post #7 in the thread on the other forum that members says "the dipstick is accurate". I hate assuming and I'm not a member there to ask, but to me that means the tick marks etc on the dip stick should also be representative of our level on the 370Z. Your picture would therefore show it way over filled.
Did you check it hot with the engine running as the G35 manual states to do or with the car turned off and the fluid hot and expanded in the pan and therefore at a higher level? Thanks

I checked the level cold for just a base line & it was still above the indicating marks. Once again YMMV

Really man, you wanna call me a dunce for simply stating the person who discovered the mod has a different baseline than you?

I removed the OE cat brace, cut the bottom dipstick tube bracket where it interferes with the OE wire harness bolting spot, bought the bolt that goes in the available hole on the back of the head thereby bolting the tube there using the tube tab and done. One cut and zero bending. I wear size XL gloves and can quick access check without issue. Maybe another plus to using the tube that the G37 forum guy did.

The only picture I have would be from the top which is the same as what the G37 member did.
