14mm or 9/16” 6pt chrome socket will work fine,,,my first time I picked up an Autozone 9/16” one for about $5.00 & then ordered the long 14mm from Snap-On
![]() Easiest way is to drain down your coolant about a gallon or so & remove the upper plenum ![]() You’ll have to remove the electrical connectors from TB’s,some vacuum lines & coolant lines that pass through the throttle bodies. Couple sensors on back of plenum & you’re ready to lift off ![]() Take care of silicon gasket; it’s reusable & clean TB’s & upper plenum good before re-installation....probably will have oil residue built up in intake. TB’s can be left connected to plenum...just use good Air Intake cleaner instead of carburetor cleaner. May want to have a roll of painters tape to put across intake ports after removal- to prevent dropping anything down cylinders ![]() That’s the easiest way I found changing them & good for inspection purposes also ![]()
