So, I found dog food in my air intakes... 😂
Here's the story:
I was installing the K&N air filters in my Z I took this nice little comparison picture of the new filter on the left vs. the old filter on the right. The passenger side filter had one leaf and a little bit of styrofoam in it. Well lo and behold, I take the driver's side filter out and found like HALF A CUP OF DOG FOOD IN IT We haven't had this brand of dog food in years, and we never eat Smarties candy. I was laughing hysterically. Who knows how long that's been in there

I have seen an 03 Ram 2500 diesel have the intake full of cow feed. I mean, slap to the brim. My hayman said he was having issues pulling a load of cows. I took a look at it and his eyes were as mine, big as platters. Freaking rat had stashed it so full it plugged up the intake. Crazy. Or you can be like me and bring a 300zx in your bay to work on it. Pop the hood and the biggest dang wood rat I have ever seen was sitting on top of the intake. Needless to say, the hood slammed shut. LOL It scampered out in the new car lot after that.

Spooler is probably on to something. Rat, squirrel, mouse, etc.

Yeah, it most likely was a field mouse or something. We get those a bit here Although now it is long gone haha
Still was funny to open it up and seeing a big handful of dog food!

Mice. They like to make a mess of things. Like chew through vacuum lines, insulation off of wires, paper from air filters. Makes nests in spots you wouldn't think of. Die in the fan cage of the HVAC, and smell up the car.
I had bought a left over 2007 Honda VFR still in the create in 2008. Broke the engine in, and put some miles on it. Decided to put it on a dyno. HP should have been around 115. It only produced 96. Knew something was wrong. Back home, I started to go through the bike looking for issues. When I removed the lid to the air cleaner. That's when I found the problem. Had a mice nest on top of the air filter. Found 3 dead mice in the nest. After cleaning everything up. Replaced the stock filter with a K&N. Went back to the dyno. It made 124HP.
