Are these wires important??

Trying to clean up the engine bay a little and noticed some grounded wires that don’t connect to anything. Are these important?

Well yes. They ground the motor and also connect to the chassis. I think you answered your own question.

These are also the points where a grounding kit would be installed. Such as the Stillen kit.

You definitely do not want to remove these. I would love to reroute these as other have done, but rerouting the wiring harness is a massive undertaking. Check out this thread for more info on this:

I don't think you properly followed those grounds to their other ends. Unless someone has modified the wiring, each of those ground wires goes to something.

Yes. Very important. They are a vital part of the electrical system. You might get away with out a few of them for a while but you would be doing a small amount of damage every time you ran the car. Eventually, something would fail.

If they weren't needed then Nissan wouldn't fit them.

Simple logic, Nissan would save money.

When I installed my turbo system years ago, I relocated those 2 ground wires so I didnt have to look at them so much. I relocated them down to the side of the engine but still on the timing covers. Unfortunately I do not currently have any photos to show. I also took the starter power cable (the big one running right past the 2 you are looking at) and I ran that behind the engine. If you decide to do anything with the starter cable make sure its done very well and will not rub/chafe/melt, because that could result in a pretty bad day.
