Unhappy Siphoning Possible?

Hey everyone, pretty awkward question and I’m pretty embarrassed to ask, but has anyone had any success in siphoning their gas? The reason I ask is because a family member filled my tank to full without knowing that I was shipping it in 12 hours. I don’t have the time to burn off all of it and am kind of desperate. Thank you in advance.

I just got a siphon and a gas can from Walmart. Hopefully this doesn’t take too long. Thanks mate.

curious to know if this works.. I was under the impression that in most modern cars this wasn't possible, due to some sort of check valve/ball in the fuel filler line.

If you have aftermarket tuning, you can disconnect the fuel line from the rails and run the fuel pump to drain the tank. You could also siphon from he fuel line.

I was unable to siphon when I accidentally filled half the tank with 87 just using a generic siphon pump. See this thread/post (below) another member was able to do it with a more specialized pump.

I could feel it ease past the screen as I fed it down the neck of the gas filler tube.

It kind of worked and it was pretty time consuming, 6 hours to be exact. I was only able to get it down to half tank. The rest I guess I’ll just have to drive around and put my ac on full blast. I used a plastic tubing with an inside diameter of about 1/8 of an inch since the tubing that came with the siphon was too short. Forgive me if that isn’t enough info, but that’s all I got

Hate to say it but this car is fully stock at the moment. Nothing will be done until it gets shipped to it’s new location
