Default Uprev tune on a stock car..pointless Or not?

Hey what’s up guys! I Just recently purchased my 2010 370z and I was thinking about getting ways to increase hp with the most bang for my buck. I have an Ark cbe already and I was thinking about just getting the car tuned next. Anyone here know if it would be worth it to do the tune (it will be on a dynojet). I know there are a lot of variables but anyone guess what kinda power I would gain from just a cbe and uprev tune?

Save your money. You don't need it yet. The HP gains would be minimal.

While HP gains would be minimal, you may get a big boost in fun-to-drive - better throttle response, tuning maps, etc.

Go with ECUtek and hit up ByThaBay

He can do what sprint booster does for your car through his tuning plus WAY more for the price of a sprint booste

Contact him at Enthusiast Auto Care Facebook page or PM him here

With just a CBE the cost of a Uprev tune would not justify it being close to stock the gains would be very minimal and would be a waste of funds as you would only have to retune your Z choosing to add future modifications.ECUtek tune would be the best route. Wait to tune after you get some modifications on your Z unless you plan on just keeping your Z close to stock. I have seen my share of dyno tunes over the years and a ECUtek tune would provide some really nice gains for naturally aspirated.

Wait for CAI and HFC or Testpipes. Then go for a tune.

Administration Tuning will never be doing any tuning on my Z. Do your research before choosing a tuner.

I’ve had HFC and Gen III intakes on mine for a while and just got an UpRev tune from Jon at Z1; it’s made a substantial difference for me.

I could feel a little more power from the bolt ons but the tune really changed the car. It feels like it’s about 500 lbs lighter.

The tune, like a lot of people are saying, really just gives you much better throttle response. I’d say get the tune, but only if you’re absolutely sure that you won’t be doing any further mods.
