Default upper radiator hose failure?

Question for you mechanical inclined Z heads out there. Has anyone had any issues with upper radiator hose failure on our Z's? I installed a CSF radiator about 10k miles ago, and never had any issue, occasional replenish with coolant every oil change just to top off, but never an issue? What could have caused the failure? No visible tear on the hose.

My guess is I never upgraded my upper or lower radiator hoses? should I have upgraded hoses/clamps at install with the new radiator? I've heard that these stock clamps are poor quality also? Hopefully this is a quick fix, upgrading to mishimoto silicone hoses this weekend. Any help with this is appreciated.

here is a photo... of the carnage

It doesn't seem to be a common problem, judging by what I have read on this and other 370Z sites.

Sounds normal to me. Hoses fail every now and then. When you pull the old hose off, inspect the radiator for damage.
Initial Z and shika805 like this.

To truly diagnose where the leak is coming from, you need to fill up the degas bottle to the proper level. Then, you need to pressure test the cooling system and watch where the coolant is coming from.
shika805 and Rusty like this.
