Default 7AT transmission fluid change

Could any of you wonderful people out here in Z land, point me in the direction of someone who knows their stuff on 370Z gearboxes in the Manchester/Salford area of UK? As the car is not on the road at the minute, taking it much further would be a pain in the grass!

Doesn't actually require a fluid change as such, but due to cooler lines being damaged, the transmission has lost an unknown quantity of fluid. Car has done less than 10k, but I need someone with the knowhow to top it off and check level at required temperature parameters. I am led to believe this can only be done with specialist diagnostic like Consult III?

If this is the case, then I can only assume its not a DIY job? Also is it really a no-no to use anything other than S Matic?

Any help guys would be greatly appreciated!

There is at least one AT fluid change DIY on this site that doesn't require CONSULT.

My shop drained the transmission used 4 quarts to fill then added 2 additional quarts as overfill. You do not want to starve the tranny.

Part#999MP-MTS00P (Nissan Matic S Transmission Fluid).

I use this fluid & use a pump up style/pressurized chemical sprayer to inject it through the hole that is covered by the 5mm Allen plug.
I've used an OTC Genisys scan tool to check trans. Temp & also used an infrared heat gun...you have a temperature range to check it, so not very hard.
If you've lost enough fluid to slip transmission or not even move;you may want to pump some fluid in it before you start engine.
Be sure you are on level surface performing this...as the fill plug is actually called an overfill plug-designed to overfill & let it drain back out (while running) and will be a constant drip@the recommended temperature.
Fluid expands with heat,,,so it will appear low until it gets into the temp. Range.

Overfilling an automatic transmission can also cause damage. Overfilling can lead to the fluid foaming, which will lead to overheating, none of which are good for the clutches, all of which will burn up the transmission. Overfilling the transmission, especially by 2 quarts would be bad advice in my opinion.

overfilling is a procedure to ensure fluid is in all cavities & is then allowed to drain while idling...it will stop & then begin to slowly drip as transmission temperature comes up to proper check temperature.
You are not leaving the extra fluid in.
