Clutch/CSC failure approaching
Hello all, I have a Nissan 370Z and have had some weird things going on. Nothing is broken as of yet. Sometimes when driving the Z hard through shifts and yesterday when I did a donut my clutch pedal lost pressure. It wasn't complete loss of pressure the clutch would still work but the pedal travel was much further. After about a hour it seemed to stiffen up a little bit again. I've also experienced one time a complete loss of pressure about a year ago, but pressure returned after about 2-3seconds. For those of you experienced with the CSC, does this sound like normal operation or sign of a failure approaching. I have had zero clutch work done to the car that I know of. (3rd owner, car was bought with 58k on odo)

The clutch hydraulic system has a high failure rate. It sure sounds like the CSC and/or CMC is going out. If you are on a tight budget, I'd flush the system (CMC to CSC) and see if that will buy you a little more time.

Is it possible your fluid is getting too hot? Maybe a switch to better fluid and some heat shielding on the lines is all you need. ZSpeed sells a SS line with DEI Heat shield on it, but you can get the shielding at the autoparts store as well and just insulate the OEM line.

Flush the fluid, but go ahead and talk to Joe@Zspeed. A fluid change is a bandaid if the csc is really on the way out. Might as well know how much it's going to sting ahead of time.
