One thing that may have been happening was that YOU were slipping the clutch by accident. The stock clutch has a really high engagement point, and when I was on the stock clutch I found myself slipping excessively between gears unless I REALLY let off. Almost side-stepping the clutch to get it to engage quickly. That may not have been the case, but these clutches take some time to get used to. (This is coming from an ex-HPDE instructor, where I was in and out of MANY performance cars at any given track day.) Just something to think about.
