Halp. Pls.
My last love (2008 g37s) was totaled and taken from me in a wreck at the beginning of July...So last august, I purchased a 2006 g35, with a partial built shortblock and greddy TT kit installed. The other modifications aren't really pertinent for the problem I have currently
When I put a code reader to it, I'm getting the codes p1084, p0507, p0037, and p0057. twice (x2). I'm not worried about the p0507 or the p0037 and p0057, those can be tuned out/ idle re-learn. Just recently tried replacing both bank one and bank 2 on the heads, with an almost catastrophic failure when replacing bank 1 (found out it was the wrong sensor) but that was corrected quick. Caused the idle to act like a vacuum leak, going all the way up to 2300-2400 rpm and leaning out at high 16's and above, but that as fixed when I swapped the old one back. I'm still getting the p1084 code, and I've recently found out that there's another sensor located somewhere near the oil pan. Can anyone tell me where it's located, and also the serial number for the part? I want to get this corrected asap, so I can get retuned and get rid of the ****ty one that I currently have now (runs lean on e85, afr on average is 14.3-15.5 at stop and cruising speeds, drops to 13ish0 +/- 0.6 under heavier loads...when it wants to). Also, does anyone know where a boost leak is most likely to occur on a greddy TT kit? I'm sure I have one; the car is supposed to peak @ 12psi, but I'm restricted to 5psi in any gear...I'm not too knowledgeable on turbo systems, but I'm trying my damnest to learn all I can. All inputs are greatly appreciated! |

Sounds like you bought someone else's aborted mess
Have you considered taking it to a competent shop to have them look at it? It doesn't sound like you have much experience. You might also consider posting on the correct forum since this is a 370z forum

What a nightmare to be in. This is why people generally shy from buying highly modified cars. I too had the opportunity to pick up a super charged G35 before getting into my Z and glad I backed out. I didn't have knowledge at the time about maintenance and diagnosing any problems if something goes wrong.
G35driver.com is where you should be going for help man. Hope you're able to get some help get it sorted out soon.

*sigh* I just need the serial number to this part. No one seems to know what tfuk I'm talking about My knowledge base is mostly in VHRs. Learning DE isn't too much different. But if y'all don't want to help, that's fine, I'll take my questions elsewhere. |

I'm pulling up exhaust valve timing sensor for that code,,, a pic of bank A/B shown (A pass side,B drivers side) also- I would contact Jon@Z1 Motorsports & I'm sure him & his knowledgeable staff can help....wouldn't hurt to put a fresh Dyno tune on it.
