Lag with AC ON? From a stop

I am curious if this is a common problem with the Z? When I try and go from a complete stop with AC on, i get a bit of lag

Default Lag with AC ON? From a stop

I am curious if this is a common problem with the Z?
When I try and go from a complete stop with AC on, i get a bit of lag on power at the start.. Then the power comes back and lurges with power.

It just seems like everytime im at a stop, i am trying to race the person next to me due to the slow acceleration then a leap into power. Ive never had this problem with all the vehicles ive owned. g35 coupe and sedan.

7AT 09.
Temps here in CA has been over 100 lately so oil temps is running 220-230 freeway should that matter.

The stock throttle table on the Z is fairly conservative and doesn't really give you much throttle in 1st or 2nd gear at low RPMs. As for the A/C, it's going to rob some power if it's on. And damn, it is hot this week in CA, isn't it? Supposed to be 115 this weekend at Buttonwillow. In my experience, the engine will start to pull timing at 230F oil temp, so no surprise that it's running sluggish in this weather.

I see. So is it due to the stock mapping? Would a tune be able to eliminate this slug into a more.. Smooth throttling?
Looking at triple digits up here in the North for the week. AC can barely keep up, sometimes i find myself with the AC on and windows cracked just to get more air in.
Also in the market for oil that could possibly run cooler in this weather? Id go with oil cooler route but in the winter, it can get a good 30-40 degrees

Just get yourself a small oil cooler with a thermostatic oil plate you won't have to worry about it.

A good tuner will eliminate that horrible stock throttle lag. I was very pleased with the results of my tune when the Z was stock except for intakes.

And yes, get yourself an oil cooler. Its very easy to fabricate a block off plate for the colder months.

Look into getting tuned with EcuTek to fix the throttle map. Sebastian at Specialty Z or Rob at Z Car Garage can hook you up.

30-40's not really that cold, as long as you have a thermostatic plate, you should be fine.

Talking

Most ECU's are programmed to shut the A/C off at WOT. From an idle, mashing the go pedal. The A/C is on, then shuts off. That's the surge you're feeling.

It looks like i have solved the problem. Mechicanical end on my part. During the installation of stillen g3, the pcv hose that connects to driver side intake fell off- throwing a ses light and OBD read running lean. May have been all the heatsoak? But it is now running correctly
