Default Unequal length headers

Hello everyone. I am curious to hear your guys opinions on unequal length headers? What are the hp gains one would expect from them? What are some good brands? I'm not looking for LTH because I just got my ART test pipes and want to keep them for a while. Any input other greatly appreciated! BTW I drive a 2016 base model 6MT 370z and am expecting to have aam short tails with aam s line mid and ypipe with ART test pipes and g3 intakes

If you're looking for shorty headers, the Z1 headers are your only real good option. With that being said, you will need to change the flange connecting the header to the ART pipe or buy a DE version of that ART pipe.

Is there any website or place that I can buy the flange or do I have to do it myself? Thanks for the reply!

I've seen at least 1 website claiming improved hp with unequal length headers. Something about the pressure pulse. I have a hard time believing them since it seems to me the unequalness would need to change with RPM. Personally, I'd stick with tuned (equal length) headers. I guess that might be considered old-school now. I think they sound better too. I do like the idea of the resonated ART test pipes though. Never heard them, never tried them, but they look interesting.

It's not whether or not the tubes are of equal length but how well the system - from intake, through filter, TB, manifold, cam timing, &c, to the exhaust tips - is tuned for scavenging. Google "exhaust scavenging" for more info.

I highly doubt unequal length headers in and of themselves offer a power advantage. They will slightly reduce peak torque but will broaden the top of the torque curve making the engine a bit less peaky.

Z1 sells those headers and the flange you need. I would only take it to a top notch welder. Also, those headers are equal length. Now keep in mind, equal length has variance. It's not 100% equal.

Luckily, these are analog waves, not digital, so slight primary length differences won't cause much phase difference.
