Has anyone had long lasting results painting the metal intake tubes? Thnaks

Painting metal tubes is a normal occurrence. Proper prep and good painting technique will give a solid finish. I suggest actual automotive paint over spray cans if you can swing it.
Of course, powdercoating is the preferred method of coating metal tubing. |

I don't see why it wouldn't work. You'll most likely, user error aside, be successful.
Powdercoating is much more durable. You also have access to certain finishes, such as wrinkle finishes, that just aren't equally achievable through paint. VHT Wrinkle coat doesn't come close to matching the appearance and durability of powdercoat as an example. |

ive used vht wrinkle red paint in some of the intakes ive had in the past. its my favorite look for intakes
for a milder look, it also comes in black
