That said as a journeyman level tech for 12 years I have seen countless cars with MAF sensor issues from k&n filter (that don't cause MAF sensor issues, sarcasm).
That's why I went AEM dry filter for my stillen gen3. Indie labs also show better filtering so why deal with the hastle of outdated oiled filters for nothing.

Yeah but I actually got rid of my filters before replacing both MAF sensors, so that shouldn't be the problem anymore. It may be a wiring issue, but is that something you can see from an inspection? Because the 2-3 times I brought the car in to Nissan for an inspection/service, they couldn't find any problems.
