Default Vibrations over 3k rpms

So I've noticed that when i'm on the highway and started going over 70 mph that there would be vibrations in the car. Kind of like a wheel is out of balance, but then I noticed that i get the same vibration when in 4th, 5th, or 6th gear right at about 3k rpms. It doesn't do it in the lower gears, and I noticed when in 6th that it is worse when accelerating, even if a very tiny amount. I don't really know how to explain it but it kind of feels like when your in a high gear and going slow and about to stall... would you guys know what i should check

Alignment, always the first thing.. followed by braking components, rotors for deposits, pads, etc

I once hit a pothole pretty bad that I damaged my tire and vibrations only went away after I changed the tire

Check your intake filter boxes. I had a similar problem and found a plastic bag had gotten sucked into the intake and was blocking one filter, drivers side if I remember correctly.

If the problem is speed related, which it sounds like, then it could be a problem with the drive line (drive shaft, rear end, axle shaft). If it is RPM related it will likely be the engine.

Good luck!

Yea i'm going to try to get an alignment this week sometime to try and see if that's it. I don't think it's engine related just because it doesn't do it in lower gears, or if i rev it.

I feel a harmonic resonance kind of thing in my driveline at or around 3000 rpm. It goes away when I move rpm past that point or before that point.

Tire balance first then if that doesn't fix it, do alignment. After that, you will have to start poking around with rotors, arms, ect.
