Oil Cooler Line Failed Help!!
Thanks for viewing,
Long story short, I started my 2013 Nismo 370z and it began pouring oil out, after I got under it I found the line pictured to have failed. I did not install this Oil Cooler and bought the car this way from the a Nissan Dealership. It is a Setrab 25 row, are there any identifying markings on Oil Coolers to designate who made the part, or does anyone know where I can buy the individual replacement line? With my daily driver broken down and needing a transmission, the sooner I can fix the Z the better. Thank you in advance! |

Whoa that sucks... I would contact Z1 Motorsports, They will take care of you.
If I were you I would go ahead and replace both lines, GOOD LUCK..

Whoever made those lines with Pushlock connectors is not very smart. You need to replace both lines to prevent this from happening in the future. You may need to pull the line off so you can tell them what flanges are on the sandwich plate.

Not good. Call Z1 and they should be able to hook you up with some new lines. It's kind of a gamble on the length of the lines since you don't have a Z1 kit. If you want to make your own lines which is pretty easy, you can find a local shop who sells braided lines and AN fittings. That would be ideal so that way you can make sure the lines fit properly.

I dont know why the manufacturers of those push-fit hoses and hose-ends tell people they dont need clamps on them. They can work well and out-last a car if they are clamped down, isolated or protected from excessive heat, and isolated or protected from physical wear-through. They have their place - but they need clamping like any other hose.
