Default Rebuild vs Replace

I had a connecting rod spun on my engine that caused a knock a while back. I'm still thinking about options etc on what to do. So far I am thinking of doing a replacement with a used engine.

However, the knock was caught early on, no oil leaks, nothing blown out of the engine. The car IS still drive-able, would it be more efficient for me to just rebuild the engine? If so I live in Columbus, GA, are there any reputable places around me?
