Review: Z1 Motorsports Clutch Kit
I figured I would give my thoughts on the kit that way there's more information out there.
I went with the clutch and lightweight flywheel combo with the 6 puck sprung disc. I also ordered a ZSpeed HD CSC and an OEM Master cylinder to go with the kit. Everything arrived fast and the kit was complete. Installation was a learning experience for me and fun for my friends taking selfies next to the transmission that needed to go back in my car. One installation note: the Z1 clutch line is not compatible with the Zspeed CSC. you'll need to buy Zspeed's stainless line. Just for refernence, I daily drive my car and use it at the track. We did all of the work at 60K miles (all original clutch, master, and slave were in use). After being on the system for 6K miles I've observed the following:
Overall, I rate this as an excellent product. If I were to rank this on a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being track and 1 being street, this kit is about a 7.5. The pedal didn't feel very heavy, which is also a plus. Picture: Video on track. No slippage: |

Great notes and video. Would you recommend this clutch kit (albeit full-face, not 6-puck) for daily duty with seasonal autoX?

I don't see why not considering im a psycho who daily drives a 6 puck on a N/A car. I forgot to mention it's one of the better priced kits out there.

Thanks for this review! I am ordering a clutch tonight and I am trying to decide between the Z1 full face and the Z1 6-puck. I'll be getting the flywheel too...
How has it been holding up for you? Also, how would you rate the daily driving performance? My car is a daily, so I am concerned with it... Also my GF will need to drive the car occasionally and she is not really skilled with manuals so ease of driving is important to me. Lets say on a scale of 1-10 where 1 is a full-on drag clutch and 10 is the OEM clutch.. where would you put the Z1 6-puck in terms of ease of use? Edit: Forgot to mention I am TT.
