Agonizing over oil
I know, silly. I've read the "Official Oil Thread" but I just can't decide for my DD if I should go traditional or synthetic. I probably average 150 miles per week. Car is at 4000 miles and I need to schedule the appointment.

I chose synthetic because 5 quarts of Mobil 1 at Walmart only costs $25. If you're not into the DIY thing, then buy the oil and take it to the shop you want to do your oil change. Don't forget the oil filter. Labor is often $10-15 at your dealer or almost any lube shop. I just hate letting other people work on the Z

The point of course it's not much more to use the better oil, when not at a dealership. I'm over 225,000 miles on my Z, is it cause I used Redline? No idea, but it sure didn't hurt. |

go synthetic! Best off the shelf lubricant is Pennzoil ultra platinum... if you want to spend a few extra $ and get the best of the best go amsoil SS or Motul
