DIY Sun Visor Uninstall
Anyone know how to do this?
I figured out you have to twist the posts 90 degrees either left or right depending on which side you are doing, but for the life of me, I cannot get the plastic covers off the stems. I have found posts where people say there are screws under the covers and then the posts slide out, but I cannot get the covers off. Almost have my headliner out, just have these visors left to go....

So I got pissed off enough last night to really dig at the covers and managed to get them off. I ended up breaking the outside clip on each set. Hopefully they will sit properly when I go to put them back on.
If not, I suppose a trip to the dealership to find these wouldn't be that bad... Just an FYI for people wanting to remove their sun visors for any reason. Prying at the very front of the plastic piece facing you is the best way to go for these, and take your time. They are REALLY thin. A very small flathead screwdriver is probably the best way to go, and wiggle it off, not pry.

Reinstalled my visors today and the covers are loose. I will be going to the dealership to get them replaced. Just hope I don't have to buy the entire visor assembly.

Be prepared to pay a fortune for a replacement visor. I was quoted ~$300-400AUD for 1 visor (not a set) in Australia. I got a used replacement off eBay for cheap instead.
