Novice electrical question.
I'm going to hard wire my radar detector tonight and instead of tapping the cigarette lighter method I thought I would just attach it to the fuse panel.
Can I just use one of these NAPA AUTO PARTS (the right amp of course) and plut it in to one of the open slots http://www.the370z.com/attachments/d...ed-slide2.jpg?

you have to orient the fuse tap a certain way or it hits the fuse door, i think. i dont remember which way it was, but i used it on my car. my v1's power module is still on the car under the steering column, but im currently using the invisicord or watever it's called from my blendmount bracket. honestly if you dd your car and need to hide your radar detector often while parked, it's better you go your route vs the inivicord and the mirror bracket imho. the inivicord is only slipped into the back of the harness and only friction is holding the pin in place. even if you have a zip tie holding the rest of the cord it still not as solid as using the fuse panel and tapping an add-a-circuit. |
