Replace stock 35w ballast w/ 55w ballast
I hope I've posted this in the correct section, forgive me for being a noob. But I just got my HID kit from DDM tuning with the 55W ballast because I'm stationed out here in Germany where the roads are darker than dark, and I'm as blind as a bat already.
I was told that I'd have to splice wires to connect the new ballast, but I have no idea what wires go where or even where the stock ballast is located. I've done some research and I think it's the little square thing behind the bulb itself, and if it is, the wire looks like a mesh wire and not something I can splice.. any insight would help! Sorry brother, I have a seat of lights apart right know but someone has re-wired the hole thing. Its a mess, if I can figure it out I'll send you an PM.
Try downloading the 370Z wire diagram, this is a post that has some info: Ecm/bcm wiring diagram with pics (tech sheet) http://www.liquidc4.net/files/DEI_2009_Nissan_370Z.pdf

Thank you, I appreciate the feed back. I was gonna take my headlights out this past weekend but it was raining. I can't see jack crap with the current set up. I hope it works out for you!

Got a picture of the 55W ballast you received?
The socket the light sits in should be plugged into a Ballast. I would think you may have to splice the incoming for the ballast and not from the socket to the ballast? |
