Adding Door lights.

Does anyone know what the wire that you are receiving power from goes to? Just curious because my soldering iron kept burning the wire instead of soldering it so I

Just curious because my soldering iron kept burning the wire instead of soldering it so I used a splice connector instead. Also any problem with using the yellow radio power wire for power instead?
