Steering wheel repacement airbag problem

Hello guys, Can anyone help, I replaced the steering wheel, made the center with alcantara placed it back, and now I have Airbag light flashing 1 long and 8 short

Default Steering wheel repacement airbag problem

Hello guys,

Can anyone help, I replaced the steering wheel, made the center with alcantara placed it back, and now I have Airbag light flashing 1 long and 8 short flashes... When connected to computer it gives error code B1065.

Did you disconnect the battery before the work? You may have to do the airbag reset but the code seems to indicate other issues. Try the reset first (Flashing Airbag Light After HU Install)

B1065 NISSAN Possible Causes
Faulty Assist Air Bag Module
Assist Air Bag Module harness is open or shorted
Assist Air Bag Module circuit poor electrical connection
Faulty Diagnosis Sensor Unit

It was done in service, I suppose they did, but no sure.

Yes I also tried reset, get in to the diagnostic mode and then same again, didn't help

If a shop did the work, why aren't you making them fix it?

Because they primary working with German cars, and they also don't know what's the problem now and offers to disassemble everything apart of course for my money

If the airbag wasn't flashing before the install then they caused the problem and therefore should be responsible for fixing it on their own dime. If they won't acknowledge that, then you should plan to avoid that shop in the future.
