help me decide how to boost pease
hello all
my name is mitchell you can call me as you please I am new around here and have had my z for a year now. I am serious about it and I take the best care of it I possibly can I am moving from an apartment into a house and working on the car more deeply than I have is about to become more realistic. im very good at diy and am pretty good at metal work however ive only stick welded and never welded aluminum or stainless steel but im sure with some practice I would pick it up pretty fast. I do not make all of the money in the world however I do make enough I can afford buying parts and pieces every now and then. I would like for you all to make some recommendations to me for what I should do to begin boosting. i have a few options as everyone does one being to just save the cash and buy a kit outright. two being play the lottery and cross my fingers. another being to buy parts and pieces slowly until i have a complete kit i can install and take the car to a tuner. and lastly make my own turbo kit from SCRATCH I am not highly against the diy as i feel it would be most cost effective i would get my own design in there (witch im pretty good at and well educated on) however im not really looking forward to saving money for the next three years just to boost my car. this car is my daily driver so if I build my own kit i would be putting it up on weekends and slowly fabbing parts witch is fine by me as long as I can teach myself to weld and buy the piping and whatnot. if I do decide to build the setup myself this process would begin early next year after I move. What would you all suggest to me? from your own experiences or observations. |

1) Buy a daily driver
2) Set a budget on what it will cost to buy, no reason to build your own 3) Double that budget 4) ??? 5) Review if it is possible
