Anyone know what are those cables?
Hello folks,
Just got the 370z want to replace the head unit. But, I'm kind of running into trouble with the wiring. I took apart the head unit and exposed the back of it. It look very non-standard to say the least. Anyone know do I convert what I have now to what pioneer has? I can create a tutorial, if I manage to get it working. Current head unit, And the last cable, The one I'm looking to install is pioneer AVH-X3700BHS. The back of that head unit look like this. |

you need a wiring harness and for pioneer - nissan and an antenna harness from standard - nissan.
Have you ever installed a HU before? Not hating, just curious... these items are pretty common for HU installation in any car. edit: You can grab these items anywhere that sells car stereo equipment .. or amazon. If you're in the middle of it, Best Buy will pricematch Amazon (as long as the items are sold by Amazon and not an affiliate)... I was missing some of these harnesses during my last install so I did that. BB want's to charge an arm and a leg for this stuff when it only should be a few bucks.

I got some more research done and here's what I think those cables are. What do you think Jayhovah?
- Antenna cable, ( antenna harness ) - Steering Wheel Control Wiring ( Steering Wheel Control Interface converter and How to wire it) - USB cable?? maybe? (The 2016 370z has a USB port in the arm rest compartment, good to see Nissan is keeping up with technology) - Audio output ( Metra 70-7553 Nissan Wiring Harness ) |

Audio output - Not sure. Do you have a base audio or the bose audio? That one is not correct for the base model audio... for the bose, I have no idea if it will work - but a few others in the audio subforum have taken changed our their bose systems and can help you there. For the ASWC steering wheel converter, check out this thread: Get the Axxess ASWC working - All buttons Not sure about the USB.. but if your new HU has a USB port the factory connector would be a good place to wire it in =) My 2013 Sport has no USB =) You might have a mod move this thread to the audio subforum - you will get a lot more feedback and help over there. The DIY forum is more for posting how-to's instead of getting assistance.
