Default 2nd wash since ownership

So after washing my car I notice a strange sort of hazing on the front passanger side fender arch sidewall. As I followed the fender curve down I ended up seeing something that wouldnt come off unless I used a clay bar. Anyone know what this stuff is by any chance?

Whatever it is was easy to remove with clay, however areas that it covered lightly were only noticable with a slight hazing.

Once it attached itself to the clay bar, it made the clay somewhat greasy feeling.

thats seems strange. Some kind of paste you picked up while driving. Perhaps a dirty truck in front of you or something...

The damn hazing areas are hard to locate, it almost looks like bird poop or acid stains but a very thin layer of whatever it was.

Interestingly those stock rock guards are really messed up. the color is totally off! And I dont mean like bumper to color to body color off. Almost off like the touch up paint you buy from the dealer.
