So I have a set of Work Gnossis wheels on my Z, and took them all off to do a detail cleaning on the lips. I bought some Mother's wheel and tire cleaner but did not see the part where it says to not use on aluminum wheels. Now I have this tiger stripe crap around one of my wheels. Luckily I only did it to one of them so the other 3 are good. I've tried everything and can't get that crap off. I'm considering taking it to a local wheel shop but was wondering if you guys had any other suggestions as to what I can do to save a hundred bucks.

ouch.
![]() the polished area, i believe, is not polished aluminium but anodized coating per above post. even the instructions in the work's wheel box noted not to use anything but water to wash the wheels. i have gnosis on my other car. i only use QD to clean them with my mf towel. |
