rock chip help
Its finally spring and i was able to give her a good cleaning. And noticed a few rock chips ive aquired this winter. Looks like one went to the metal and has corroded. I have no idea what to do. Need to get on this.

If it is corroded the area will have to be prepped before applying paint. Sounds like you may need to go to a body shop and get a quote for the best fix.

The thing about body work is that the whole piece needs to be recleared afterwards or it'll have issues later. That can be expensive.

Its right above the windshield on the roof. Its not huge but i dont want to make it worse. Not sure how prep/remove the rust spot before i can put something on it. Bothers me cuz i know its there. Just lookin for suggestions. |

According to that link 3m sells a sanding pen for small spots. Awesome thanks for the link . The Dr color chip kit looks cool. I might spring on this to try it. For now im gonna look into that sanding pen, i can use my touch up paint and clear i already own. I might need to find some sorta primer for the spot.

Use a sanding pen to prep the surface and take out the rust:
