Help, towel melted on hood

Hey guys, I messed up and forgot my microfiber towel on the hood after wiping a spot on my windshield with rubbing alcohol (for windshield chip repair) and it melted

Default Help, towel melted on hood

Hey guys, I messed up and forgot my microfiber towel on the hood after wiping a spot on my windshield with rubbing alcohol (for windshield chip repair) and it melted on my hood. This **** won't come off, I've tried goo gone and claybar. It's like flush with my paint now :'(

That's melted then rehardened plastic and will probably have to be buffed out. The paint is thin, so take it to a pro.

It might flake off if you get it cold enough but you run the risk of warping the body panel.

Compounding didn't work.. might have to do wet sanding but I'm too noob to try myself.

Or get a CF hood like ZBrah suggested lol

First off where the heck do you live that a towel melted on your car?
2nd get some quality towels that are not dyed. I only use white Adam's micro towels. I live in south Carolina and in 105 degrees leaving in my car for hours they wouldn't do this.

Looks like a large yellow orange pu$$y imprint on your hood. Leave it on.

Btw. If that's how you handle your towels when detailing I recommend you stay away from orbitals.

You sir should relinquish all ownership of said automobile...a bicycle is far better suited for you lol...just teasing but man that is extremely crappy and I don't think in my 37 years I've ever seen something so unfortunate...good luck with the removal err repaint
