The previous owner of my Z had put a clear bra on the front of the car. Today when washing my car I figured it was time to remove it because A) it had insects caked on it that I have tried for months to get off and B) the current one only covers half the hood, so I want to get one that covers the full hood.
I took off the bra (which was a pain) and washed the car and there's 2 things I noticed. The area where the bra was now has a different sheen from the rest of the car that can be seen in this image with water still on the hood of the car: (this picture is with the bra off, so you can see how halfway up the hood it looks completely different, the lower half had the bra on previously) ![]() Also, there are tiny patches of actual adhesive left over. Should a clay bar and re-wax take care of this easy peasy, or are there other steps I need to take to make the hood look correct again? |
