Flat Towing a 2014 370Z Roadster
I actually drove to Pender, Nebraska to have Blue Ox manufacture and install a tow base plate for the 370Z....first hidden baseplate for the 370Z. They did a great job and I have already towed the car behind our motorhome. There is one problem however. The brake actuator sits on the floor in front of the driver's seat. it is powered by plugging into one of the 12 volt outlets. The problem....neither outlet works when the ignition switch is off. I have contacted my dealer and they say this is a big challenge to permanently activate a 12 volt connector and they will need to research to figure out what to do. Any suggestions????

I would think your best bet is to run a wire directly to the battery with a fuse and switch and the other end to a good ground.
Or get a second battery in the trunk so you don't have to worry about draining the main one.

Did you solve the 12 volt power supply wiring. If so how. What about wiring for stop lights? I know this is an old post but hope to get an answer Thanks |

Good job using the search feature but the looks like the OP hasn't logged in since this thread was created. Maybe someone else can chime in and help you though.

The FSM has wiring diagrams, harness routing, pinouts, etc that will help you pick the best spot to tap for lights.
