Default Need help - driving instructions

I'm posting this on Canadian part of the forum because I may need someone local helping me out.

I have been driving my manual Z since January. Two to three days a week, to and from work. Unfortunately I can't seem to figure out how to launch the car smoothly at all times. I do great, imo, on very slow launch or hard launches. Normal driving from stop just doesn't seem easy to me. Not being able to drive my car properly just annoys the hell out of me. :banghead:

Not comparing but I used to have a Tiburon v6 and she was very easy to drive/launch.

Any ideas? Anyone willing to give me a few tips on how to play with clutch/gas on first gear?

Search for clutch helper spring on here and see if that helps you at all.

Try taking it out first and see how you like it when you don't have it at all. It's a quick test to see if it's what you want.

Have u tried driving in different shoes? Go get yourself some good soft driving shoes so u can feel the clutch engaging better. 1st & 2nd gear is like this on the 370z. U should get the hang of it after a few days driving with good shoes.

Yea, it's easier to drive with some shoes than others. It may also be because I keep switching back and forth between MT and AT

Driving hard works. I just have to be careful with the clutch. I'm figuring it out slowly...I should just stop driving my auto, it's making me lazy

Just to clarify, I have no issues shifting to 2nd gear. It's only when I'm starting to move from a full stop in first gear
