Default Canadians Love The 370Z....Sales Have Doubled!

I have noticed more 370Z's on the road in the last year and thought is it because I want one or is it in fact because more people are buying them. A quick check of the sales numbers verified what I had thought. There were in fact more Z's on the road....much more Nissan 370Z Sales Figures - GOOD CAR BAD CAR In fact in 2016 more 370z's were sold in Canada then in the entire history of the vehicle second only to the first year of the 350z. So 7 years into the life of the car Canadians are gobbling them up lol. Of course the most obvious reason is pricing. The base model in 2015 was stripped down and the new price was $29,998 which despite the weak dollar was the same price as the U.S. market. In Canada that is a steal. It would be similar to selling the base Z in the U.S. for $22,500. So while we do love the Z for sure I think what we really love is a great value proposition. For under $30,000 what else can you get??? Nothing that comes close is the answer and yes the BRZ twins are fun but nowhere near as powerful or fast. So in a world where North American sales are around 6000 units we account for nearly 1000 sales. I wonder what is in store for 2017...based on early returns and a new value proposition introduced to the 2018 lineup I think sales will be similar this year. Go Canada

*Doubled since 2014 the title should read*

I don't like.

I want to have the only one on the road.

I wish after I got mine they doubled the price right away.

not to mention all the 'performance" sport cars start at 50K now

Any real high performance cars start at 70K with a severe dealer mark up.

A basic 370Z with lots of potential 30K. Double down and build a high performance machine that will out run a 70K high performance car.

I contributed to that 1000 number three weeks ago.I noticed almost all of the local dealers are carrying at least 10 base cars each. All you have to do is pick your colour .I'm sure with all the competition, the dealers left themselves wiggle room too.

Beautiful colour....I doubt even with all the new sales you will run across another that looks like yours, cheers. Besides if no one buys them then Nissan won't make anymore

Met another one yesterday that looked EXACTLY like mine on HWY 401 going the other direction.... I spot the local 2-3 Z's often and it does look like the stealerships are carrying them. I am going to a local one soon to get the 2015 Nismo front I think

2 dealerships in my area had 1 each last summer....this summer they have 5 between them on the lots so far and 2 are 2018 models lol. Plus they both have sold Nismo's in the last few months. I guess they saw that the dealers that did carry the Z actually sold them ...wow what an idea

Same here, seeing more on the road and parked around town, also local dealership had 3 base versions this year sitting outside, only 1 left now.

The 2016 were the first years of the base for 30k, sold in April 2015, I know I got one of the first ones in the Canadian market .

As happy as I am I am also saddened. Most of these buyers (me included until recently) have zero heritage appreciation.

They don't realize this is an exclusive club where we all family and treat each other so.

I keep referring to zdayz and zcon but a lot of the zdayz guys that went to zcon Toronto last year remembered me. Helped I was the only Asian from canadadadada

By over-producing more affordable Z's and dumping them on the market, Nissan is simply pissing off the true Z heritage crowd and appeasing their greed. I agree with mishuko, most new Z owners have no appreciation for the Z's heritage nor are they interested in it.

That's why I got a Nismo. You rarely see one in Canada
