Default Emergency Brake Light?

Hey guys,

So I have a 2009 370z and I just recently noticed about a month ago some weird behavior. It happens when I'm at a stop light and I accelerate. If i accelerate slow/normal person would I get no lights, but if I put a little more power into it, I first get my brake light popping up then like 7 seconds later my VDC off light and my traction control light will pop up. Once that's up a few seconds later my brake light will go off. Has anyone experienced anything like this before? I have about 45,000 miles on the car.

Fill up the brake fluid.

Don't have this problem with my Z but my Maxima does the same thing but only when it is first driven in the morning. After the car is driven and shut down upon restart no lights for the rest of the day. Didn't think to check brake fluid. I will check it right now.

Chuck nailed it. Pretty much guaranteed to be the brake fluid. Fill it to the MAX line. I've had the light come on even with the brake fluid level halfway between MIN and MAX during brisk acceleration. Just top it off and you should be good to go. Also, note that the SLIP light adjacent to the VDC OFF light may come on independently or in conjunction with the e-BRAKE light and signals the same low brake fluid. What happens is hard acceleration can slosh the fluid and uncover the sensor making the car think the fluid level is low even though it might be above the MIN line when stopped on level ground.
