Toe bolts necessary?
I’m going to be installing SPL rear camber arms to get my camber back in spec. Right now it is about -2.1 to -2.2 with near perfect toe. Will the SPL camber arms alone be enough to get the camber back in spec or do I have to also do the toe bolts? It sounds silly but I tend to stay away from irreversible mods for resale reasons, I don’t really like the idea of cutting my subframe for toe bolts. Can you get away with just the camber arms? I'm not sure there is enough toe adjustment in the stock bolts.

I don't know enough about suspensions to answer your question but a quick look at https://www.google.com/#q=site%3Athe370z.com+Toe+bolts shows a few threads that may be helpful. Maybe not. Give it a click and see.

I installed the SPC Rear camber arms / Toe bolt and Im still at about -2.5.
Guy at the shop said because the car is sitting so low I need rear camber links if I want more positive camber. |

i got the same thing said to me. With swifts and no camber arms (yet), after an alignment I am @ -2.5 camber. My toe is almost 0.. close enough not to be an issue.

To the Op it all depends on where your toe bolts are at right now as to whether or not you will be able to get away with it when you fix the camber the toe will go off so it just depends on if there is enough room on the eccentric left or not. If you need toe bolts you will have to cut the toe slots in the subframe wider per the template that comes with the bolt. You can instal the bolts without doing this but you will not be able to use the full range of adjustment. Any time you put on rear camber arms you are going to want to get a set of lockouts to put where the CAMBER eccentric was, then will adjust the camber with the arm and it will not move.

So how much "range" do you gain with the bolts without the cut? My toe currently is around 0 but camber is limited to -1.8

pretty much stock range the cut is to allow the new bolt to move further out past the factory range. All you are doing is dremeling the slot an 1/8ish longer on each end it isn't going to affect anything.

Hmm that doesn't sound too bad. Am I right in thinking that there would never be a reason to want to go back to the stock setup? You don't lose anything by cutting the frame and installing these bolts right?

no you can run the factory bolts again if you want but there would be no need to. It will not affect going to an adjustable toe arm in the future either as you would want to use a lockout then anyway.

Yeah what slow said. You just dremel the holes a little bigger on each side. You can still go back to factory bolts if your really that paranoid about a shop looking for aftermarket parts. If they count off on you for not having OEM bolts they are crazy lol. You will most certainly need an eccentric bolt there unless you have toe arms. The lock out bolts are only used for when you have adjustable arms. I have aftermarket camber arms, therefore I purchased a lock out bolt kit that eliminated the factory camber eccentric bolt.
Before anyone asks lol, if you get aftermarket toe arms, you will have to have coil overs. No way around it. Even the million dollar SPL mid links (I don't even know if they make them for the 370) require a coil over sized spring. Regular toe arms will require "True" coil overs.
